The Studio Voice is all about lifestyle, inspiration, and imagination – expressed through personal narrative, poetry, short story (fiction or non fiction) DIY decor and crafts projects, high-end artisan and hand crafted products, original artwork, photography, and recipes. Submissions that relate to these topics are welcome.

Guidelines:

• We ask for exclusive First Rights (meaning the right to be the first to publish your work in print and in digital formats). You may republish your work 90 days afterwards. We, occasionally consider reprints – please be sure to specify that your work has been published elsewhere in your submission form.
• We welcome simultaneous submissions, however, once you hear from another publication, please withdraw your submission and notify us immediately.
• Work must be submitted electronically through the Submittable forms below. If you are submitting art or photography to be considered for cover art, please indicate this in the Submittable form.
• You will be notified via email when your submission is received.
• You will be contacted via email once we have made a decision regarding your submission. Please note that if we decide to publish your piece, it may be a few weeks/months before your work actually appears in print. (Please do not email or call us to ask about the review process or results – we review each and every submission, promise!)
• If your submission is selected for publication, we will send a publishing agreement for your review and signature.  We will also request a short biography/artist statement.
• All decisions as to whether or not to publish your work are final.

Recognition:

Contributors receive payment for their work, generally a small honorarium as well as a free copy of the issue in which their work is published.
Payment is made within 30 days of publication. We do not provide an honorarium for reprints

Each contributor will have a byline that will include a small image and a brief bio. Links to web sites, social media accounts, blog etc are also included.

Additional Details:

When submitting image files you may use small image sizes with low dpi, however, if your image/s are selected for publication we will need artwork with a minimum of 300dpi.

We ask that all file types submitted clearly include your last name and at a minimum first initial, for example J_Doe.doc , J_Doe.jpg.
